Share your voice — a legislative advocacy event by The Arc, Down Syndrome Indiana, Autism Society of Indiana, and INSILC.

What to expect

  • Fact sheets and talking points on current disability-related bills.

  • Training on effective advocacy and preparing for legislator meetings.

  • How to schedule a meeting: find your legislator at iga.in.gov/information/find-legislators. Call or email, say you’re a constituent, and request a 15–30 minute meeting. Meeting with a legislative aide is also helpful.

Who should attend

  • People with disabilities, family members, caregivers, advocates, and allies.

Why attend

  • Get concise materials and talking points.

  • Practice and schedule meetings to influence laws affecting your community.

This one day event will bring voices from the field to share stories, strategies, and resources that help districts and families work together to start or strengthen Special Education Parent Advisory Councils (SEPACs).

The summit will include:
